Art Spiegelman

American cartoonist born in Stockholm in 1948 to Polish Holocaust survivors. Co-founder of the avant-garde comics magazine RAW, he received a special Pulitzer Prize in 1992 for Maus, which retells his father's survival of Auschwitz.
