American novelist from Louisiana, where she lives in Shreveport with her husband and three sons. She worked for years as a wedding and portrait photographer before writing young adult fiction, beginning with The Rules for Disappearing (2013), a thriller drawn from the witness protection programme, and the romantic comedy 10 Blind Dates. Her first adult novel, First Lie Wins (2024), about a con artist who works under borrowed identities, was a Reese's Book Club pick and a number one New York Times bestseller, and has been optioned for television.
